For anything funded under BEAD, it changes which question you need to ask — because Build America Buy America rules turn on where the product is manufactured, not on who owns the manufacturer.

On market-share figures: this page does not quote global market share percentages. Published figures vary by methodology and are frequently reproduced without a source or year. Where a company’s position can be described with a verifiable fact instead, it is.

On revenue: this column states the disclosure basis rather than a figure. Four of these manufacturers are subsidiaries whose fiber cable results roll into a foreign parent’s consolidated accounts and are not separately reported. Putting an estimate next to Corning’s segment reporting would make the column look comparable when it is not. Where you need a financial standing check for a tender, request audited statements for the contracting entity.
On ownership: every company here manufactures fiber cable in the US. Parent nationality does not by itself affect BABA eligibility — the test is where manufacture occurs and, for some categories, where component content originates. Section 5 covers this.
