The IP code from IEC 60529 defines protection against solids (first digit) والماء (second digit). For outdoor fiber, only the water digit varies in practice.

IP67 is qualified for 30-minute immersion at 1 m depth. IP68 covers longer or deeper immersion under conditions the manufacturer defines. For aerial and wall-mount drops IP67 is enough; for direct-buried joints or base-station jumpers exposed to standing water, ask for IP68 with a stated depth.
