4. Installation Guide for Armored Cable

  1. Bend and Squeeze: Bend the armored wire approximately 10 inches from the end and squeeze by hand until the armored coil separates.
  2. Twist to Separate: Twist the armored wire on both sides of the cut until the separated coil pops out of the wire.
  3. Cut Exposed Coils: Use side cutters to cut the exposed jacketed coils.
  4. Trim the Wire: Slide back the sheath and cut the wire if trimming is needed. Otherwise, remove and discard the scrap.
  5. Remove Excess: Cut off any sharp parts of the sheath with side cutters. Remove any pieces of paper or thin plastic from the package.
