IP68 Waterproof Fiber Optic Connector Manufacturer — Huawei / ZTE / Fiberhome / OptiTap / Fullaxs Compatible

Fibconet fabrica 12 series of outdoor waterproof fiber optic connectors used in FTTH drop-cable terminations, FTTA base-station jumpers, and outdoor ODN cross-connect points. Product families cover IP65, IP67 and IP68 sealing grades, with housings in PA, PEI and metal, selected per model and per project environment.

All series are cross-compatible with mainstream OEM interfaces — Huawei, ZTE, Fiberhome, OPT, Fullaxs, ODVA OptiTap, PDLC, NSN and ODC — so field crews can replace legacy assemblies without changing the enclosure or the drop-cable spec. Typical order size starts from 1,000 pzas; OEM labeling, custom pigtail lengths and bulk packaging are supported for distributors, ISPs and EPC contractors.

IP65 vs IP67 vs IP68 — What Each Rating Really Means for Outdoor Fiber

The IP code from IEC 60529 defines protection against solids (first digit) e auga (second digit). For outdoor fiber, only the water digit varies in practice.

Nota: IP68 is the only rating that lets the manufacturer define the immersion depth and duration. Always ask for the test report if a project spec calls out “IP68” without a depth value.

Housing Material — PA, PEI or Metal

Material is selected per model, not per customer request. As a general rule:

  • PA (polyamide): standard outdoor housing; balances cost, UV resistance and impact strength.
  • PEI (polyetherimide): higher heat and chemical resistance; used where sun exposure or salt spray is severe.
  • Metal reinforcement: used on selected FTTA and base-station models where mechanical crush load is a project requirement.

Production History

A operación principal de Fibconet en compoñentes ópticos pasivos remóntase a 1994. The waterproof connector line was industrialized after the FTTx wave in China, and today ships to ISPs, EPC contractors and distributors in more than 40 países.

Raw Material and Supply Chain

Casquillos, sleeves and pigtails are sourced from long-term qualified suppliers. Housings are injection-molded in-house from qualified PA and PEI resins so batch-to-batch dimensional consistency stays under control. G.657.A2 drop-cable pigtails are supplied through our deep bare-fiber inventory and brand distribution partnerships.

In-line and Outgoing Quality Control

  • End-face 3D interferometry per Telcordia GR-326 on 100% of factory-terminated pigtails.
  • Insertion loss and return loss test with reference master jumper, batch-recorded.
  • Sealing test on 100% of housings before packaging; extended immersion, spray de sal, UV and thermal-cycle testing performed per model qualification and per project requirement.
  • Serialized test data available on request for tender projects.
