What Is Bare Optical Fiber and How to Choose the Right Grade

Bare optical fiber is the raw waveguide — core + ka uhi ʻana + acrylate coating — before it becomes a finished optical cable. It ships on 50.4 km standard reels, me 40.8 km, 60.4 km and 100 km reel lengths available on request. If your process can accept non-standard reel lengths in the 20–40 km range, we can offer a more cost-efficient stock structure priced up to 20% lower.

G.654.E — When Long-Haul and 400G+ Justify the Premium

G.654.E has a larger effective area than G.652.D, which lowers non-linear impairment on high-capacity coherent transmission links. It is the fiber of choice for terrestrial 400G / 800G backbone links and terrestrial extensions of submarine networks. Tensile strength is 60 N maʻamau. Our current G.654.E output is around 100,000 km per month across authorized brands.

Drone Spool Production

Drone spools are manufactured in-house on dedicated lines. Monthly capacity for the popular 20 km external-winding spool reaches kokoke 7,000 ʻāpana. Long-range internal-winding spools use a proprietary two-component adhesive system that cures immediately after fiber termination — eliminating the 24-hour rest period and the layer-adhesion issues common with ordinary adhesives.

Q7. Which drone spool should I choose — internal-winding or external-winding?

Koho internal-winding for long-range missions above 30 km, aggressive flight profiles, or when fiber-break tolerance is critical. Koho external-winding for high-volume bulk deployment at short range and low speed, or when budget is the priority. For racing / FPV pass-through applications, ka Kevlar-reinforced version supports peak payout up to 170 km/h.

Q8. Do you offer DDP shipping to Europe?

ʻAe. We have extensive DDP experience to Poland, Bulgaria, Germany and other EU destinations. Please advise your final delivery address and drone-application context so we can quote landed cost including any applicable duties.
