Fibra Optic Connector&adaptor

Fibra Optic Connector & Adapter Manufacturer — SC / LC / FC / MPO / ST, Simplex, Duplex & IMPERVIUS

FIBCONET fibra optica connectors et adaptors covering the full range of formats used in FTTH access, data-centre cabinets, telecom central offices and outdoor deployments — from standard SC / LC / FC / ST / MPO / MTRJ / E2000 to IP67 / IP68 IMPERVIUS outdoor-rated connectors and field-assembly (fast) connectors for on-site termination.

structure sample

Every connector and adapter ships after 100% factory inspection — end-face 3D interferometer for MPO, insertion loss and return loss measurement on all fiber types, and mating durability verification against IEC 61754 et Telcordia GR-326-CORE (Genus r) methodologia. Ferrules are Sanhuan (Sumitomo on request), and connector bodies come in standard telecom grade through outdoor waterproof PEI / PDLC housings.

Duo Product Familiae supplemus

Familia 1 — Fiber Optic Adapter (Coupler / Mating Sleeve)

An adapter (also called coupler or mating sleeve) is the passive component that joins two connectors face-to-face inside an ODF panel, repeciare panel, wall plate or termination box. It aligns the two ferrules within tight concentricity tolerance so the light passes across the junction with minimum loss and reflection.

Connector Format Sleeve Material Typical Insertio Damnum Redi damnum
SC Ceramic (zirconia) ≤ 0.2 dB* UPC ≥ 50 dB*; APC ≥ 55 dB*
LC Ceramic (zirconia) ≤ 0.2 dB* UPC ≥ 50 dB*; APC ≥ 55 dB*
FC Ceramic (zirconia) ≤ 0.2 dB* UPC ≥ 50 dB*; APC ≥ 55 dB*
ST Ceramic (zirconia) ≤ 0.2 dB* UPC ≥ 50 dB*
MPO / MTP Precision-molded polymer with pin alignment ≤ 0.35 dB average (low-loss) ≥ 55 dB* (APC)
E2000, MTRJ, MU Ceramic ≤ 0.2 dB* UPC ≥ 50 dB*; APC ≥ 55 dB*

Available in simplex, duplex and quad configurationes, with mounting flanges for standard ODF drawer, wall plate, patch panel and custom panel cutouts. Colour coding follows the industry convention — blue for UPC, green for APC, aqua for OM3/OM4, lime green for OM5, beige for OM1/OM2 — so any technician can identify the format at a glance.

Familia 2 — Fiber Optic Connector

Our connector line splits into three families depending on how the fiber is terminated:

Type Modus Cessatio optimus For
Factory-Terminated Connector
(polished on our patch cord line)
Fusion-splice, epoxy + polish in factory Repeciare funibus, pigtails, ODF pre-terminated cabling — highest and most consistent optical performance
Field-Assembly (Fast) Connector Mechanical splice on-site, no fusion splicer required FTTH field deployment, drop-cable termination, emergency repair — see our dedicated Fast Connector category for the full line
IMPERVIUS / Outdoor Connector
(PDLC, PEI, IP67 / IP68)
Pre-terminated cable assembly with sealed housing Base-station RRU, outdoor equipment, telecom compatibility (HW / ZTE / Ericsson), harsh-environment interconnect

For pre-terminated cable assemblies, connectors are integrated onto FIBCONET patch cords in-house — giving you traceable ferrule origin, insertion loss test report per core, and consistent batch performance. For field-assembly connectors, our dedicated Fast Connector category covers threaded self-locking, alligator-os, drawer-type, CCTC single-ceramic, three-ring double-ceramic and other field-installable formats used in FTTH last-mile projects.

How to Pick the Right End-Face Contact — PC / UPC / APC

All three describe how the ferrule end-face is polished, and each gives a different return loss value.

Polonica Type Redi damnum Where to Use
PC (Contactus corporalis) ≥ 40 dB* Legacy telecom, low-cost general use — largely superseded by UPC
UPC (Ultra Contactum) ≥ 50 dB* Data centers, Enterprise Networks, most FTTH indoor cabling — the mainstream default
APC (Angulus Contactus, 8° polish) ≥ 55 dB* MON / FTTH extra plant, CATV RF super vitrum, DWDM — anywhere high return loss is critical to prevent signal reflection

Rule of thumb: use APC (green connector) for anything carrying an RF-modulated signal or a PON drop; UPC (blue connector) for standard data traffic. Never mate UPC to APC — the polish angle mismatch will introduce significant loss and can damage the ferrules.

Manufacturing and Quality Control

  • 100% end-face inspection on every connector — interferometer for MPO, microscope for SC / LC / FC / ST
  • 100% insertion loss and return loss measurement on every fiber core before shipment
  • Batch-to-batch IL variation controlled within ±0.08 dB
  • Electronic test reports in FLUKE or EXFO format available with every order
  • Ferrules sourced from qualified domestic (Sanhuan) and imported (Sumitomo) suppliers — specify at order stage for the tightest concentricity requirements
  • Adapter sleeves manufactured in ceramic (zirconia) for standard formats and precision-molded polymer with alignment pins for MPO

Frequenter Interrogata

Q1. What is your MOQ for connectors and adapters?

Standard SC / LC / FC / ST adapters and connectors ship from stock without a strict MOQ — sample and trial orders are welcome. MPO connectors typically start at 100 Unitates. Waterproof and telecom-compatible connectors (tres nostri in uno fibro opticorum velit connexionis convertentis in esse / ZTE / Ericsson) are quoted per project depending on housing spec.

Q2. What’s the difference between a connector and an adapter?

A connector is the plug at the end of a fiber cable — it holds the ferrule and terminates the fiber. An nibh (also called coupler or mating sleeve) is the passive junction that joins two connectors face-to-face, aligning their ferrules for low-loss signal transfer. Every ODF, patch panel or wall plate uses adapters to receive incoming connectors from patch cords or pigtails.

Q3. When should I use APC instead of UPC?

Usus APC (green connector, 8° angled polish) for any PON / FTTH outside plant link, CATV RF super vitrum, and DWDM — anywhere reflected light could interfere with the signal. Usus UPC (blue connector) for standard data traffic in data centres, enterprise networks and most indoor cabling. Never mate UPC to APC — the angle mismatch causes major loss and can damage the ferrules.

Q4. Do you supply waterproof / outdoor connectors compatible with Huawei, ZTE or Ericsson equipment?

Ita. Nos fabricare IP67 and IP68 waterproof connectors in PDLC and PEI housings, compatible with Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and other major telecom equipment vendors. Please specify the target equipment model at RFQ stage so we can confirm the correct housing and interface spec.

Q5. Do you supply test reports?

Ita. Every shipment includes 100% factory test results (finis, facies, insertio damnum, damnum reditus). Electronic test reports in FLUKE or EXFO format are available on request — useful for project acceptance and customer audit.

Q6. Do you supply field-assembly (fast) connectors?

Ita, we manufacture a full line of field-assembly connectors — threaded self-locking, alligator-os, drawer-type, CCTC single-ceramic, three-ring double-ceramic and more. See our dedicated Fast Connector category for the full range and specifications.
