4. ODF product structure

The optical fiber fusion splicing distribution unit box is composed of three parts: the outer shell, the internal components, and the optical fiber connector protector.

1. Shell: The shell of our ODF is designed for easy opening and installation.

2. Internal components:

  • Support Frame: The main body of the internal structure, used for support.
  • Fiber Tray: Used to orderly store optical fiber connectors (and their protective parts) and remaining optical fibers. The remaining optical fiber length is not less than 1.6m, and the radius of curvature of the remaining optical fiber reel is not less than 32mm.
  • MPO Cassette: To convert high-density MPO interfaces (typically 12 or 24 fibers) to standard LC or SC interfaces, we offer an optimized solution using MPO cassettes. These cassettes enable efficient and reliable connectivity in high-speed, high-density fiber optic systems such as 40G/100G/400G.

3. Fixing Device: This is used for securing the cable sheath, the fiber optic cable strengthening member, and the wiring pigtail. The protection of the optical fiber connector uses a heat shrinkable protection tube.

5. Raw materials of Fibconet ODF products

All plastic parts in our ODFs are made from anti-corrosion materials,

while treat metal parts with electrostatic spraying to enhance their anti-corrosion performance.

The physical and chemical properties of these materials remain stable, and there is excellent compatibility between them.

  • The thermal melting temperature of the materials and fillers used for the heat-shrinkable protective tube is not less than 120°C, with a heat softening temperature greater than 90°C. The operating temperature range is -25°C~+40°C.
  • All materials are non-toxic and non-corrosive, posing no adverse effects on human health or other equipment.

③ What are the differences between simplex and duplex ODFs?
