China ODF Fiber Optic Patch Panel Manufacturers

1. What is ODF/Patch Panel

Fiber optic patch panel is an integrated unit for fiber management, manage and protect fiber optic cables.

Accommodating 12-core fiber, 24-core fiber, 36-core fiber, 48-core fiber, 72-core fiber, 96-core fiber and 144-core fiber applications.

We also offer optional related fiber accessories and pigtails. Including SC, ST, FC, LC, MTRJ, etc to equip with ODF.

2. How Many Types of Fiber Patch Panel You Can Get

Our product range is diverse, all stemming from our deep understanding of fiber optic systems. We offer two primary types of Optical Distribution Frames (ODFs):

odf types

  1. Pull-out Type ODFs: Pull-out design unit modules, which enhance ease of operation and maintenance. This innovative design elevates construction efficiency and facilitates the convenient execution of fiber optic connection, switching, distribution and management.
  2. Rack-mounted ODFs: These units can be directly installed in a standard cabinet, catering to larger-scale fiber optic networks.

Further, we offer:

  1. Fixed distribution frames: Where the fiber optic coupler is directly fixed on the chassis.
  2. Modular design: Providing users the flexibility to select corresponding modules based on the quantity and specifications of optical cables. This approach facilitates easy network modification and expansion.

3. Applications of ODF

Our expertise as fiber optic patch panel manufacturer extends to various applications, including:

Applications of ODF

(1) Telecommunications subscriber loop;
(2) Fiber to the home (FTTH);
(3) LAN/WAN and metro networks;
(4) CATV Networks;
(5) Other applications in Fiber optical systems.

4. ODF product structure

The optical fiber fusion splicing distribution unit box is composed of three parts: the outer shell, the internal components, and the optical fiber connector protector.

ODF product structure

1. Shell: The shell of our ODF is designed for easy opening and installation.

2. Internal components:

  • Support Frame: The main body of the internal structure, used for support.
  • Fiber Tray: Used to orderly store optical fiber connectors (and their protective parts) and remaining optical fibers. The remaining optical fiber length is not less than 1.6m, and the radius of curvature of the remaining optical fiber reel is not less than 32mm.
  • MPO Cassette: To convert high-density MPO interfaces (typically 12 or 24 fibers) to standard LC or SC interfaces, we offer an optimized solution using MPO cassettes. These cassettes enable efficient and reliable connectivity in high-speed, high-density fiber optic systems such as 40G/100G/400G.

3. Fixing Device: This is used for securing the cable sheath, the fiber optic cable strengthening member, and the wiring pigtail. The protection of the optical fiber connector uses a heat shrinkable protection tube.

5. Raw materials of Fibconet ODF products

All plastic parts in our ODFs are made from anti-corrosion materials,

while treat metal parts with electrostatic spraying to enhance their anti-corrosion performance.

The physical and chemical properties of these materials remain stable, and there is excellent compatibility between them.

  • The thermal melting temperature of the materials and fillers used for the heat-shrinkable protective tube is not less than 120°C, with a heat softening temperature greater than 90°C. The operating temperature range is -25°C~+40°C.
  • All materials are non-toxic and non-corrosive, posing no adverse effects on human health or other equipment.

9. FAQ You May Ask

① What components are in a fully equipped ODF?

Fully equipped ODF typically includes an empty box, adapters, pigtails and splice tray.

② What is the thickness of an ODF before and after spray shrinking?

The thickness of an ODF before spray shrinking is usually about 0.8mm. After spray shrinking, the thickness typically increases to 1.0mm.

③ What are the differences between simplex and duplex ODFs?

Simplex communication usually only requires one connection port for sending or receiving data.
Duplex communication requires two connection ports: one for sending data and the other for receiving data.

The main differences are in the number of connection ports (single or paired), the type of fiber patch cords (single or dual fiber core), and the connection method (single connection or paired connections).

④ What length options are available for the fiber in the splicing tray?

The length of the fiber in the tray is usually not less than 1 meter. The standard length is typically around 1.2 meters. However, final length should meet the specific needs of customers.

⑤ What types of spray shrinking are available for an ODF?

Matte and glossy.
