This product is a G657A2 bend-insensitive bare fiber, 200/242μm, wound on a 3D-printed ABS reel and built for long-range FPV drone and UAV field communication links. The internal wiring design keeps the fiber protected inside the housing during dynamic release, which reduces the friction points that cause fiber breakage in flight.

G657A2 vs G657A1 bend radius and tensile comparison

The fiber is G657A2 with a minimum bend radius of around 7.5mm, tighter than G657A1 (around 10mm). This bend performance lets the fiber be wound and released inside a compact reel without large attenuation penalties during sharp internal routing.

High Tensile Performance for Dynamic Unwinding

Drone fiber fails most often during dynamic release, not at rest. The standard version supports around 50N tensile strength, with enhanced or customized versions available up to 55–60N.
