DESCRIPTION

1×2 PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitter is a passive optical device that is used to split a single optical signal into two identical signals.

Fibconet provide Low insertion loss plc splitter 1×2 reaches 0.1db, which means that the signal is split with minimal loss.

1. Benefits of 1×2 PLC splitter

In a PON distribution network, optical splitter 1×2 with SC/UPC connector is used to divide optical signals between two optical fibers. It has following three benefits:

  • In a PON distribution network, optical signal splitting is done by connectorized optical splitters. They already have UPC or APC polishings and SC type connectors.
  • They can be utilized with a lesser curvature radius when installing them because the G.657A (Bending Low Insensitive) fiber type does not alter the attenuation level.
  • The connectorized splitters’ input (1.5 m) and output (0.6 m) fiber sizes are reduced, making it simpler to fit them in a splice box or optical termination.
