Description

This series of mechanical fiber optic splice sleeves, also known as fiber splice protection sleeves, are widely used in fiber distribution hubs, joint boxes, and fiber splitting boxes. They are essential for protecting fiber splicing points and ensuring secure fiber terminations.

Traditional vs. New Splice Sleeves

  • Traditional Heat Shrink Tubes: Require heating for shrinking, which takes time. The small inner diameter can be challenging for older technicians with poor eyesight, making fiber threading difficult.
  • New Mechanical Splice Sleeves: Feature an adhesive interior, eliminating the need for heat shrinking. Simply snap them into place with a clamp for a secure fit. The aluminum material offers greater durability and resistance to extreme temperatures compared to plastic tubes, making installation quicker and easier.
