Fibconet hutengeneza 12 series of outdoor fiber optic splice closures (also called joint closures, cable closures, or in field slang dome cans) for OSP splicing between feeder, distribution and drop cables. Capacity ranges from 12 cores for FTTH drop junctions up to 840 cores for backbone and long-haul splice points. Sealed to IP68, housings are PP+GF, PPR or metal-braced polymer with a 15 to 25-year design field life. Our passive optical component roots trace back to 1994, and the same in-house tooling and test discipline built for PLC splitters now runs the splice closure line.

Two body types cover the two OSP install methods: dome (vertical) closures for pole, wall and direct-buried joints, na mlalo (inline) closures for manhole, handhole and figure-8 aerial splice points. Selected dome models ship pre-loaded with 1×8 or 1×16 PLC splitters and act as PON hub points inside a Quick ODN / pre-terminated FTTH deployment. Enclosures accept mechanical, heat-shrink or silicone sealing per model.
The sections below list the 12 models grouped by body type, then cover Dome-vs-Horizontal selection logic, vipimo vya kiufundi, uwezo wa kutengeneza, ufungaji, Maswali Yanayoulizwa Mara kwa Mara, na kituo cha kunukuu.
Cylindrical body with a single base plate carrying all cable ports. Best suited to pole-mount, wall-mount and direct-buried joints where cables enter from one end. The two splitter-loaded models below double as PON hub points inside a Quick ODN deployment.

Fibconet’s optical communication background traces back to the early 1990s. Our passive optical component manufacturing roots start in 1994 with a PLC splitter factory; the company was formally structured in 2000 and today operates with 300+ core staff and an extended multi-site manufacturing network of up to 800 wafanyikazi na wahandisi across China. The same tooling and test discipline built for high-count PLC splitter production now runs the splice closure line, including injection molding of PP+GF and PPR housings, splice tray forming, and full-load assembly.
Splice closures are only as reliable as the materials inside them. Tunadhibiti safu ya juu ya mkondo badala ya hatua ya kuunganisha pekee:

Fibconet operates under an integrated ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management system covering quality, mazingira na afya ya kazi & usalama. Raw material RoHS reports are supplied by default with every shipment.
Product-level compliance is issued per model and per target market. Depending on the model list and destination country, we can support HII, RoHS, FIKIA, ya, ETL, CPR, ANATEL, CCA, Tlc and other market-entry documents. Applicable test reports against IEC 61753-1, YD/T 814 na Telcordia GR-771 reference standards are provided at project scale.

All four are the same product family — an outdoor enclosure that houses and seals spliced fibers along an OSP cable route. “Splice closure” na “joint closure” are the standard English terms. “Dome can” na “炮筒” are field slang for the dome (vertical) body style. The Chinese term “熔接包” refers to the same category and is common in Chinese-language RFQs from Southeast Asia and Africa.
A splice closure protects and organises spliced fibers along an OSP cable route; there is no active drop-cable termination for subscribers. A distribution box (FAT) terminates drop cables into adapter ports and often houses the last-mile splitter. Splice closures sit deeper in the network; distribution boxes sit at the drop point closest to homes.
Choose dome when cables enter from a single direction — pole-mount, ukuta-mlima, kuzikwa moja kwa moja, or hand-hole accessed from above. Choose inline when cables enter and exit along the same axis — manhole splice, aerial figure-8 span, or tray-mount along a linear run.
Match the closure to the largest cable at the splice point plus a spare tray for future expansion. FTTH drop junctions typically use 12–48 core inline closures. PON access nodes use 96–144 core dome closures. Metro backbone splices use 288 msingi; long-haul trunk splices use 576 au 840 cores in heat-shrink inline bodies.
For direct-buried and pressurised networks, use a mechanical-seal dome with 100 kPa air-pressure hold; the seal is verifiable in the field and re-enterable for future splice work. Heat-shrink is more permanent but not re-enterable without cutting.
Ndiyo. Dome closures can be shipped with a 1×8 or 1×16 PLC splitter pre-terminated at factory. The 1:8 / 1:16 PLC Splitter Dome model is rated for 22,000 N / 10 cm cable retention so the housing tolerates heavy drop-cable pull. Splitter chips are Shijia or Korean-source, and pigtails use G.657.A2 fiber from major Chinese fiber brands.
PP+GF and PC+ABS housings with a UV stabiliser additive package hold 15 kwa 25 years of outdoor service, depending on model. Ask us for the specific model’s material spec if your project tender requires a stated design life.
Ndiyo. IEC 61753-1, YD/T 814 and GR-771 test reports are available per model. Raw material RoHS reports ship by default. Market-entry certificates such as CE, FIKIA, ya, ETL, CPR, ANATEL, CCA and TLC are issued per model and per target market. If a certificate you need is not already on file, we can arrange third-party testing at project scale.
MOQ starts at 100 pcs on standard configuration; custom builds are typically 500–1,000 pcs. Standard orders ship in 15–25 days; custom builds in 25–40 days. [TBC: confirm exact values per model at RFQ stage.]
Ndiyo. Pole-mount and wall-mount hardware is included on the dome closures. Aerial figure-8 mounting kits for inline closures are supplied on request. Manhole tray mounts and cable-management brackets are quoted with the closure.
Ndiyo. Our splitter-loaded dome closures — the 1:8 / 1:16 PLC Splitter Dome and the pre-terminated FAT closure — act as PON hub points inside a Quick ODN system. They pair with our pre-terminated drop cables, Vituo vya MPO, sub boxes and asymmetric splitters to reduce on-site splicing, cut installation labor, and make FTTH rollout more predictable. If your project is a new FTTH build in a labor-cost-sensitive market, ask for a matched Quick ODN configuration when you send the RFQ.
