Fib optik Splice Fèmen

Fiber Optic Splice Closure Manufacturer — Dome and Inline, 12 pou 840 Nwayo

Fibconet fabrike 12 series of outdoor fiber optic splice closures (also called joint closures, cable closures, or in field slang dome cans) for OSP splicing between feeder, distribution and drop cables. Capacity ranges from 12 cores for FTTH drop junctions up to 840 cores for backbone and long-haul splice points. Sealed to IP68, housings are PP+GF, PPR or metal-braced polymer with a 15 to 25-year design field life. Our passive optical component roots trace back to 1994, and the same in-house tooling and test discipline built for PLC splitters now runs the splice closure line.

what is splice closure

Two body types cover the two OSP install methods: dome (vertical) closures for pole, wall and direct-buried joints, Yon tipik APON/BPON bay orizontal (inline) closures for manhole, handhole and figure-8 aerial splice points. Selected dome models ship pre-loaded with 1×8 or 1×16 PLC splitters and act as PON hub points inside a Quick ODN / pre-terminated FTTH deployment. Enclosures accept mechanical, heat-shrink or silicone sealing per model.

The sections below list the 12 models grouped by body type, then cover Dome-vs-Horizontal selection logic, espesifikasyon teknik, kapasite fabrikasyon, anbalaj, FAQ, ak yon kanal sitasyon.

What Is a Splice Closure and How to Choose the Right Type

Dome vs Horizontal — The Two Body Types

A splice closure protects, seals and organises spliced fibers at any point along an OSP cable route. The body shape follows the physical install location, not the fiber count.

Kapasite Faktori ak Kontwòl Kalite

Production History and Team

Fibconet’s optical communication background traces back to the early 1990s. Our passive optical component manufacturing roots start in 1994 with a PLC splitter factory; the company was formally structured in 2000 and today operates with 300+ core staff and an extended multi-site manufacturing network of up to 800 anplwaye ak enjenyè across China. The same tooling and test discipline built for high-count PLC splitter production now runs the splice closure line, including injection molding of PP+GF and PPR housings, splice tray forming, and full-load assembly.

Upstream Material Control

Splice closures are only as reliable as the materials inside them. We control the upstream stack rather than only the assembly step:

  • Housing resin: qualified PP+GF and PPR grades with a UV stabiliser and weathering-modifier additive package dosed at pre-mix.
  • Sealing rubber and silicone: qualified grades matched to the operating temperature range and rated field life.
  • Splice trays and metal brackets: produced on dedicated tooling for dimensional consistency across production batches.
  • Passive optical parts inside splitter-loaded closures: Shijia / Korean-source PLC chips, NTT-grade optical epoxy, CCTC ceramic ferrules, and G.657.A2 pigtail fiber sourced from major Chinese fiber brands (Fiberhome, YOFC, Hengtong).

Kontwòl Kalite

materyo

  • Air-pressure hold test on every assembled dome closure before shipment (100 kPa on rated models).
  • Waterproof and dustproof test to the rated IP68 grade on production samples per batch.
  • Impact test per rated IK grade on housing samples.
  • Cable retention pull test per rated axial load (men pwodwi yo te anonse lè l sèvi avèk optik mwens chè tou 22,000 N / 10 cm on splitter-loaded dome).
  • Thermal cycle and humidity test per model qualification.
  • Full-load tray test with splice trays and splitters fitted, to verify cable-management fit under real port load.

Kesyon yo poze souvan

Q1. What do buyers mean by “fèmti episur”, “joint closure”, “dome can” oswa “熔接包”?

All four are the same product family — an outdoor enclosure that houses and seals spliced fibers along an OSP cable route. “Splice closure” Yon tipik APON/BPON bay “joint closureare the standard English terms. “Dome can” Yon tipik APON/BPON bay “炮筒are field slang for the dome (vertical) body style. The Chinese term熔接包refers to the same category and is common in Chinese-language RFQs from Southeast Asia and Africa.

Q2. What is the difference between a splice closure and a distribution box?

A splice closure protects and organises spliced fibers along an OSP cable route; there is no active drop-cable termination for subscribers. A distribution box (GRIS) terminates drop cables into adapter ports and often houses the last-mile splitter. Splice closures sit deeper in the network; distribution boxes sit at the drop point closest to homes.

Q3. When should I choose a dome closure and when an inline closure?

Choose dome when cables enter from a single direction — pole-mount, miray-mòn, dirèk-antere, or hand-hole accessed from above. Choose inline when cables enter and exit along the same axis — manhole splice, figi ayeryen-8 span, or tray-mount along a linear run.

Q4. What core capacity do I need?

Match the closure to the largest cable at the splice point plus a spare tray for future expansion. FTTH drop junctions typically use 12–48 core inline closures. PON access nodes use 96–144 core dome closures. Metro backbone splices use 288 nwayo; long-haul trunk splices use 576 oswa 840 cores in heat-shrink inline bodies.

Q5. What sealing method is most reliable for a direct-buried joint?

For direct-buried and pressurised networks, use a mechanical-seal dome with 100 kPa kenbe presyon lè a; the seal is verifiable in the field and re-enterable for future splice work. Heat-shrink is more permanent but not re-enterable without cutting.

Q6. Do you supply closures pre-loaded with a PLC splitter?

Wi. Dome closures can be shipped with a 1×8 or 1×16 PLC splitter pre-terminated at factory. La 1:8 / 1:16 PLC Splitter Dome model is rated for 22,000 N / 10 cm cable retention so the housing tolerates heavy drop-cable pull. Splitter chips are Shijia or Korean-source, and pigtails use G.657.A2 fiber from major Chinese fiber brands.

Q7. What is the outdoor field life?

PP+GF and PC+ABS housings with a UV stabiliser additive package hold 15 pou 25 years of outdoor service, depending on model. Ask us for the specific model’s material spec if your project tender requires a stated design life.

Q8. Do you provide test reports and international standard conformity documents?

Wi. IEC 61753-1, Yd/t 814 and GR-771 test reports are available per model. Raw material RoHS reports ship by default. Market-entry certificates such as CE, REACH, la, Etl, CPR, ANATEL, CCA and TLC are issued per model and per target market. If a certificate you need is not already on file, we can arrange third-party testing at project scale.

Q9. What is your MOQ and typical lead time?

MOQ starts at 100 pcs on standard configuration; custom builds are typically 500–1,000 pcs. Standard orders ship in 15–25 days; custom builds in 25–40 days. [TBC: confirm exact values per model at RFQ stage.]

Q10. Do you supply mounting hardware for pole and manhole install?

Wi. Pole-mount and wall-mount hardware is included on the dome closures. Aerial figure-8 mounting kits for inline closures are supplied on request. Manhole tray mounts and cable-management brackets are quoted with the closure.

Q11. Can these splice closures be used in a Quick ODN or pre-terminated FTTH deployment?

Wi. Our splitter-loaded dome closures — the 1:8 / 1:16 PLC Splitter Dome and the pre-terminated FAT closure — act as PON hub points inside a Quick ODN system. They pair with our pre-terminated drop cables, MPO sant, sub boxes and asymmetric splitters to reduce on-site splicing, cut installation labor, and make FTTH rollout more predictable. If your project is a new FTTH build in a labor-cost-sensitive market, ask for a matched Quick ODN configuration when you send the RFQ.
